Magnificent Black Cinema from Canada, at once contemporary and universal. A story of the bond between siblings, the resilience of a community, and the indomitable power of music.
Francis and Michael, the sons of immigrants from Jamaica, grow up in Toronto's vibrant hip-hop scene. During the sweltering summer of 1991, against the backdrop of gang violence and police harassment, a well-kept family secret comes to light. The latent tension in the neighborhood threatens to escalate, ultimately triggering a series of events that will change the brothers' lives forever.
