Logline

Using archival and found footage, this film self-referentially and hilariously recounts the rapid rise of the moving image and its profound influence on modern society.

How has our incessant craving for images changed our behavior? Directors Axel Danielson and Maximilien Van Aertryck explore this question in their documentary, taking a critical look at the flood of images we humans produce with our more than 45 billion cameras day in and day out. From the origins of photography and the first moving images to YouTube and the world of social media, they show how, in the space of 200 years, a multi-billion-dollar industry has evolved that now influences every aspect of our lives significantly.

This film is screened in original version with German voice-over.

Recommended for ages 12 and up.
