FILMMAKERS LIVE! WAR AND JUSTICE

Marcus Vetter’s latest documentary tells the compelling story of the International Criminal Court in its mission to prosecute crimes against humanity. This discussion will pick up on that by featuring a man who helped make history as the ICC’s chief prosecutor. Luis Moreno Ocampo, whose former life as prosecutor against the Argentinian junta has even been the subject of a brilliant feature film (ARGENTINA, 1985, directed by Santiago Mitre, Argentina/USA 2022), will discuss with the filmmakers the burning question of our time: Can wars of aggression ever be brought to justice if the three superpowers — China, Russia, and the United States — remain unwilling to recognize the ICC as a global court?
