Films for children draw an audience of millions to movie theaters, and foreign sales of TV programs for children are booming. Nevertheless, they are less appreciated in Germany than programs for adults. The creators complain about poor pay, and airtime has been cut. How can we ensure that German children’s films measure up to international standards?
