The movies were a big loser during the pandemic. Film distributors report that audiences are taking a more discriminating approach. What genres, themes, and types of stories can German films still excite audiences with? VeDRA and its guests will discuss how German films can achieve greater visibility and popularity, and perhaps be improved, through careful story development, target-group-oriented marketing, and a restructured system of funding.
