Showrunning is a job for writers. In Europe and Germany, as elsewhere, the responsibility for creating a series is increasingly being transferred to the creator. Nicole Mosleh and Johannes Betz talk to screenwriters Kristin Derfler (“Zwei Seiten des Abgrunds”), Orkun Ertener (“Neuland”), and Alexander Lindh (“Mapa”, “Druck”) as well as producers Bernd von Fehrn (Warner) and Mischa Hofmann (Odeon) about their experiences in showrunning and the expectations of the producers.
