40 Jahre voller schöner Momente, interessanter Begegnungen und vor allem eines: beeindruckende Filme!

40 years of delightful moments, interesting interactions, and above all, impressive movies!

From minor debut films to major international productions, FILMFEST MÜNCHEN has been providing a platform for filmmakers from all over the world for four decades now. It is not only the thousands of films, countless international stars, and numerous film premieres that have continued to make this festival so attractive to this day. People from all over the industry are drawn to the Bavarian capital to celebrate successful films together and to find inspiration for new projects.

FILMFEST MÜNCHEN is an integral part of the summer in Munich. As a local resident, I’m particularly pleased that the Filmfest offers the city a special opportunity to present itself in the best light. As a location, Bavaria offers a wide range of opportunities for filmmakers, and the film industry has established itself here as a strong economic sector for good reason. It is impossible to imagine the German and international world of film without FILMFEST MÜNCHEN.

As a founding shareholder of FILMFEST MÜNCHEN, we at SPIO naturally take special pride in this Bavarian success story and are delighted about our long-standing association with it.

Special thanks are owed to Festival Director Diana Iljine and Artistic Director Christoph Gröner, who stand for FILMFEST MÜNCHEN’s formula for success: a confluence of creativity, audiences, and glamour.

I’d like to wish the audiences, the filmmakers, and the organizers of FILMFEST MÜNCHEN an eventful time, new insights, and exciting hours in front of the silver screen.

Congratulations on 40 successful years!
